Speed Skating Saskatchewan: 

Saskatchewan Speed Skating administers the certification of Level I & II Officials.  Level III + Officials are certified by Speed Skating Canada.  SASSA also is responsible for the Referee and Starter assignements for all Provincial Level competitions in Saskatchewan.

Speed Skating Canada:

At the national level, Speed Skating Canada has an Officials Development Committee whose mandate is to ensure the availability of qualified officials through the education and accreditation; to appoint and designate qualified officials at national and international levels; and to ensure the technical regulations are consistent with I.S.U. and appropriate to national development of sport.  Each region has a member on this Committee.  The Western region represents the Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northwest Territories Branches.
